Poetry Friday - The Wind and the Kite

William and I have been thinking and talking of building and flying kites. It is, after all, the glorious month of March. So, I present my poetry Friday selections, poems about the wind and kites. Enjoy!

Who Has Seen the Wind?
Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you:
But when the leaves hang trembling
The wind is passing thro'.

Who has seen the wind?
Neither you nor I:
But when the trees bow down their heads
The wind is passing by.

The second poem is by Leslie Tryon.

Wind
Have you seen the wind?
Did it just pass by?
I can't see it,
In the cloudless sky.

But my hat blew away,
And I saw the trees sway,
So this must be
a windy day.

Kite Days
A kite, a sky, and a good firm breeze,
And acres of ground away from trees,
And one hundred yards of clean, strong string --
