NPM 2020 on Poetry Friday - My Writing Cabin

In September of 2009 I spent a glorious few days in the company of poets. Spending my days immersed in reading, writing, and talking poetry was like finding my people. It was, in a word, heaven.

I do hope you'll take some time to check out all the wonderful poetic things being shared and collected today by Heidi Mordhorst at my juicy little universe. Happy poetry Friday friends!

  1. I know several peopl who have gone to this writing camp and it looks absolutely amazing. I lvoe your last line because when we write, it is introducing heart and pen to paper.

  2. Highlights is a magical place where the outside world does just fall away. I was hoping to get there this summer, but who knows where we'll be by then. Be well, Tricia!

  5. One day I would love to take part in a poetry retreat at Highlights. Thanks for giving us a peek. I love the last line of your haiku--heart and pen? meet paper

  8. Whatever brought this to the fore this week? (It's taking me a looong time to make the rounds of last Friday's posts--gearing up for online PreK was a big deal!) I wonder if it's not being able to go there, or anywhere, at the moment....

    1. I changed project for this month on the heels of this virus and decided to do some armchair traveling with my poetry, so it is here in an effort to remind myself (and others) that this will pass and one day we'll be mobile again.
