Poetry Friday - Thriller Rap

As if I could post anything else today ...

Rap from Thriller
by Rod Temperton

Darkness falls across the land
The midnight hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize y'all's neighborhood
And whosoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
And rot inside a corpse's shell

The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller

If you have some time, here's the video of the song. (You can hear Vincent Price around the 6:30 mark.)

I do hope you'll take some time to check out all the wonderful poetic things being shared and collected today by Linda Baie at Teacher Dance. Happy poetry Friday friends! And Happy Halloween!

  3. Two great people, Jackson & Price. Always sad to think of Jackson's life. He was talented. Thanks for sharing- haven't seen this in a long time.

  6. I've heard this twice today -- it is a perfect choice! I can't help but think of the time my dad met Vincent Price... Pop said Mr. Price was as spooky as you'd hope he'd be.
