The blog of a teacher educator discussing math, science, poetry, children's literature, and issues related to teaching children and their future teachers.
Since I am the science liaison at my school I figured I'd do pretty well... I was incredibly wrong on that one, let's just say I got more than half but was no where near passing. Oops! Guess I need to study! I do well on Are you smarter than a 5th grader :-)
Hi Lindsey, Great to hear from you! The problem with these tests is that they're all about memorization. I have a head stuffed full of useless science facts and vocabulary words, so I do really well. I'd much rather see a test that asks kids to apply what they know about science to what happens in the world around them. Tricia
