Over at Weekend Wordsmith, Bonnie has linked to a cool site that graphs your blog. Here's what The Miss Rumphius Effect looks like.
Yes, I'm a math lover, but even if I wasn't I would think this graph was amazingly beautiful. Now, go and find out just how pretty your blog is. In the meantime, I'm going to ponder this and see if it inspires something poetic.
Okay, so how exactly did you get the picture of your graph into your post? I have made my graph and I am trying to share the idea on my site, but I can't seem to figure out how you get the picture of the graph into the post? I am feeling computer illiterate, but I LOVE my graph!
ReplyDeleteHi Megan,
ReplyDeleteI took a snapshot of the screen and then converted the image to a jpg. Send me an e-mail if you need directions and I'll try to help you through this.

Okay, I am doing another graph for the ninth time and going to try doing that. I loved my graph the first time then when I was trying to figure it out, 20 more times, I got a different graph every time. It takes a bit of time, huh.
ReplyDeleteI went ahead and put up the post without my picture, but I will go back and fix that.
Thanks again, this was so great!

I finally got it. I don't like how looks on the blog, but it was so pretty anyway. Thank you again for your help.

I've done something like this before, where it mapped just the links to and from your blog. It keeps growing over time and is different every time you try it because the links keep adding and changing.
ReplyDeleteThis one has a color code at the bottom telling you all the html tags it mapped. Fascinating! And beautiful - it just might make me late for work today.
And if it DOES inspire something poetic, I hope you'll go back and link it with Weekend Wordsmith:

Fascinating! I rather like the graph it produced for my blog - will try it again, see the difference. Today will fall into another 'net void, I'm thinking!
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty, amazingly geeky. And therefore, of course, I'm a huge fan!
