Lois Lowry and The Willoughbys

If you didn't hear it this morning, Lois Lowry appeared on Weekend Edition to talk about her book The Willoughbys.
I've heard a lot of mixed reviews. Some folks love it, others hate it. I loved the nostalgia of it. Here are smattering of reviews you may want to check out.

    I'm going to be blogging about this book next week. Thanks for the tipoff about the NPR interview. The response to this book on one of my listservs has been very mixed, too.

    Hi Gail,
    I liked it because it brought back so many memories of books I enjoyed as a child, but I'm not sure kids will get it. For sure some of the more precocious ones will, but I wonder about whether it will have broad appeal.

    I'll look forward to reading your thoughts on this.
