The blog of a teacher educator discussing math, science, poetry, children's literature, and issues related to teaching children and their future teachers.
I love stop motion animation and have had kids at school use it with Icreate on Ipads. This was superb and the music was just right! Loved the wings on that horse. Have you seen film poems? I just participated in a transatlantic reading with Michelle Bitting who makes film poems. It was on google+ @ transatlantic poetry. check it out if you're interested. The next reading is August 14th. The readings are archived.
As to the blog, I feel so bad about my absence that I thought a change of decor might motivate me to visit more. Knowing I'm heading home again I did choose several poetry stretches to post in advance, so at least I'm thinking ahead!

ReplyDeleteThanks, Tess! I'll definitely look into film poems.
DeleteI don't know if you've seen it, but I show the video of Sandubrg's Arithmetic to my math class each semester.

You can see the first 3 minutes in this sample.
See, if the pieces did THAT, I could learn to play better...
ReplyDeleteThe blog looks lovely, btw.
I so agree with this! It would be more fun too.
