NPM 2021 - Found Poem 4

Today's found poem comes from p. 15 of A Drop of Water, by Walter Wick.

Soap Bubbles

dazzling beauty
delicate precision
nearly perfect
shimmering liquid

soapy water
stretches
without breaking
shrinks to form
a sphere

  1. I love this! Many years ago, I took classes from Don Graves. He would always talk about the similarities between scientists and poets. This poem makes me think of that.

    1. Yes, I think that's why I love poetry so much. It's seeing the world through careful observation and then finding the words to express it.

  2. I love how it's NEARLY perfect, but not an actual perfect bubble.
